MASSAGE
I'm Lisa Sunshine West and, yes, my middle name really is Sunshine.

I have been doing therapeutic massage for over 20 years and I love being a part of people’s health and wellness routines.

My goal as your massage therapist is to provide a comfortable, safe environment for you to fully relax mentally so that your body can focus on physical relaxation.
My sessions are tailored to your needs...that could be relaxation one time and deep tissue work the next. I meet you where you are at since you know your body best.

Lisa West has kept my body moving for nearly a decade. I’ve spent 25+ years working on a computer and traveling for business, both of which have contributed to soft tissue challenges in my neck and upper body. I tried many massage therapists before meeting Lisa, so I know she’s simply the best. Lisa is expert at getting to the root cause of pain and uses just the right combination of therapies to relieve aches, tension and stress in my body and mind. She is an integral part of my health and well-being. - Lisa H., St Paul

RELAXATION MASSAGE
Relaxation is a part of each massage, however, some days you simply need to relax and receive nurturing massage instead of working specifically or deeply. These sessions will include Swedish massage techniques. They are intended to increase circulation bringing warmth to your muscles which helps them relax, decrease anxiety and stress with long, full body strokes and calming pressure, and create a connection between your entire body and mind.
REHABILITATIVE MASSAGE
Rehabilitation of your muscles from either injury or chronic use requires more specific work. Deep tissue, Trigger Point therapy, and other advanced techniques are used to encourage these problem areas of tension to ease and relearn how to relax. Clients may choose to come in for a few sessions in short succession to really get at a problem before settling back into a maintenance schedule of massage.
HEATED STONE MASSAGE
PRENATAL MASSAGE
Congratulations! Massage during pregnancy is very beneficial to baby and mama. I have extensive training in prenatal massage and I am a doula. This knowledge base gives me a unique understanding of the areas most affected by your changing body.
The dark basalt stones from the Pacific Northwest, the shores of Lake Superior, and from the Canadian Arctic are heated in a salt water bath and incorporated into a hands on massage to bring even greater heat to tense areas. It is extremely relaxing and has great therapeutic benefits.
THAI MASSAGE
Sometimes known as Thai Yoga massage, this session is done fully clothed on the floor. This form of massage is more participatory than traditional massage. I will use hands on pressure as well as stretching techniques to increase the flow of energy throughout your body as well as release muscle tension.
